TAI R&D Days Continue

Turkish Aviation and Space Industry Inc. (TUSAŞ) R&D and Prototype Operations President, who came to Erzurum to participate in the Turkish Aerospace Industry R&D Days organized by Atatürk University and Erzurum Technical University between December 25-27. Dr. Fahrettin Öztürk, Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı.

On the first day of the program, TAI R&D and Prototype Operations President Prof.TUSAŞ, who participated as a speaker in the Turkish Aerospace Industry R&D Days program, which started in Erzurum Technical University Faculty of Engineering and Architecture Dr.

“R&D Activities Increased With University-Industry Collaborations”

Rector Çomaklı, drawing attention to the methods to be applied for the transformation of academic knowledge into technological products and the realization of technology transfer and the acceleration of R&D activities with the establishment of new high technology-based companies, said that R&D activities have increased significantly thanks to the projects realized with University-Industry collaborations.

Rector Çomaklı emphasized that Atatürk University continues its studies in order to accelerate the R&D and innovation activities in order to reach the target point within the framework of 2023 vision of our country in a short time: “Scientific developments and technological advances are one of the most important factors that determine the welfare levels of today’s societies. In order to be a country that can compete in the international arena, it is necessary to make national production based on R&D together with science and technology. “We are working with all our strengths with all our academicians for the development of our country in every field and to reach an advanced technological level.”

“Strong R&D Infrastructure Should Support This In Order To Accelerate Nationalization”

Thanking Rector Çomaklı for his hospitality and support for the Turkish Aerospace Industry R&D Days, Prof. Dr. Öztürk said that universities are in great need for high technology.

Stating that one of the most important ways to survive is to be competitive and to have a strong technology army behind it, Öztürk stated that without R&D, the product will lose its importance after a certain period of time and then competitors can do better. but this is such a long and difficult process that achieving this requires serious effort. We need to have a really competent knowledge. In order to accelerate nationalization, a strong R&D infrastructure should support this ”.

The visit was made by Rector Çomaklı and Prof. Dr. It ended with presenting a gift to Öztürk.
